PORTFOLIO / ENGINEERING & RESEARCH

What I’ve built.
What I’m learning.

A closer look at my contributions across space systems, robotics, research, and software products.

01 / SELECTED PROJECTS

Work with a purpose.

PROFESSIONAL / AVALON SPACE

Operating a rover,
capturing the mission.

Rover software & mission control

ROS 2PythonTelemetry

Field testing needs a reliable way to control the rover, see its state, and collect the data that makes the test useful.

My contribution
I independently programmed the rover’s ROS 2 software. I built a web navigation and control interface to track telemetry and operate the rover remotely, plus mission control tools to collect and store data and send requests to the rover.
Result
The software was used for successful field testing and data collection in Canada, the United States, and Australia.
Related work
I also create lunar infrastructure simulations in Blender and Unreal Engine, incorporating rover models from Canadensys Aerospace Corporation.

PERSONAL BUILD / ROBOTICS

Turning a target position
into physical motion.

Six-degree-of-freedom robotic arm

C++ArduinoSolidWorks

A robotic arm connects several kinds of engineering: the geometry of its links, the electronics that drive it, and the software that decides how to move.

My contribution
I modeled the brackets and linkages in SolidWorks, assembled an Arduino Uno and six-servo system, and wrote the C++ control code. Forward kinematics supported joint control; inverse kinematics translated target coordinates into servo angles.
Outcome
A working arm and gripper that brought mechanical design, electronics, and motion control into one build.

FOUNDER / HIVEEXP

Building the product.
Building its community.

Student events & local discovery platform

React NativeTypeScriptCloud deployment

HiveExp brought student events, club activities, and local business promotions into a mobile and web platform.

My contribution
I independently developed and launched the platform, managed deployment, and led partner outreach and onboarding. I worked with student clubs and local businesses to give people a reason to use it.
Result
Thousands of users in under four months, with more than 100 partnerships. The work extended from software development into organizing events and maintaining relationships.

CONTRACT / ARAN’S LAB × NORDSPACE

Testing the idea
before the hardware.

Atmospheric measurement concept

FeasibilityConcept designLaunch operations

The concept explored how a drone could collect atmospheric measurements at 10–20 km altitude to inform rocket launch readiness.

My contribution
I researched the feasibility and developed the drone concept through Aran’s Lab.
Project stage
This work remained at the evaluation and concept stage; it was not pursued into a deployed system.

02 / RESEARCH

From quantum models
to materials in space.

A foundation in physics and computation, followed by experimental materials research.

CURRENT MASTER’S RESEARCH

How can nanomaterials hold up in space?

I’m exploring nanomaterials for space and solar applications under Dr. Rafik Naccache at Concordia University, with a focus on stability and durability.

My interest is in what happens when promising material properties meet the demands of a real operating environment. This research direction is developing as part of my master’s.
